Congratulations to the winners of the Perth NAIDOC awards for 2017!

It was a great night that celebrated the importance, culture richness, resilience and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and individuals. NAIDOC is celebrated not only in Indigenous communities but by Australians from all walks of life. The awards recognise the outstanding contributions that Indigenous Australians make to improve the lives of Indigenous people in their communities and beyond, or to promote Indigenous issues in the wider community, or the excellence they’ve shown in their chosen field.

WACOSS would like to make a special mention to Yorganop for their  Program of the Year award and to our WA  treasurer, Hon Ben Wyatt MLA, the first indigenous treasurer in Australia,  as the Outstanding Achievement award winner; We recognise your earnest efforts and wish you all the best for the future.

Find here the complete list of winners of the night with their respective categories and sponsors.
