The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is a key date in the WACOSS calendar.  It allows for some of the more technical functions to occur (such as voting for board members, adopting constitutional change) as well as hearing about the successes of the year gone and the plans for the future.

Members and member organisations play a key role in deciding the WACOSS board, with individual members being entitled to one vote each, and organisational members being entitled to two.  Life members are also entitled to one vote each. The voting that occurs at the meeting is essential in ensuring that the board is representative of the sector and will influence the WACOSS direction well.

It also covers the presentation of the Annual Report, President’s Report, CEO Report, Financial Report, and other appointments and elections.  While the event serves our constitutional requirements, there is also an opportunity to meet a large number of individuals involved within the sector and do some meaningful networking.

Traditionally, the AGM is run following the presentation of the Pre-Budget Submission.  This presentation is a core function of WACOSS where we present recommendations to the State Government for the upcoming budget.
