Purpose & Overview

Community service organisations are invited to apply to the COVID-19 Cleaning reimbursement scheme by filling out the online form below.
As part of WACOSS’s recent advocacy efforts, we have secured $1million in funding from the West Australian State Government  to cover additional cleaning costs incurred by community service organisations due to interaction with COVID-19 positive cases in your organisations.

This funding is available on a reimbursement basis for any not-for-profit community service that holds a WA Government contract providing services to vulnerable community members.

Cleaning must have been done in response to a positive COVID-19 case and be undertaken by a professional cleaning service. They should use approved TGA products and follow the WA Department of Health CHO guidelines.

Reimbursements cannot be issued for an organisation’s regular cleaning services and/or for the cost of cleaning products or PPE.

Unfortunately, this reimbursement scheme is not applicable to Federally funded aged care services, Federally funded NDIS services, or individual clients of NDIS.

Claims are valid from 14/01/2022 and are ongoing while funds are available. There is no limit on number of times an organisation can claim as long as the claim meets the eligibility criteria.
