Daniel Morrison is a Noongar/Yamitji man from Perth. Daniel has held the role of the Chief Executive Officer of Wungening Aboriginal Corporation – an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation – for nearly 11 years, during which time the organisation has experienced strong growth.
Daniel’s experience spans both Government and sector, and he currently sits on the WANADA Board and is Co-Chair of the Social Reinvestment WA, a coalition of 20 not-for-profits which has a vision for an effective and connected approach to justice in this state.
In 2016 Daniel was awarded the NAIDOC Outstanding Achievement Award in recognition for his significant contribution to the development and empowerment of Perth’s Aboriginal communities, was the 2018 winner of 40 under 40 awarded by WA Business News, received the 2019 Business News Rising Stars Award in the Indigenous Business category, and received the WA EY Social Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2019.
Daniel was elected onto the Board in October 2020.
