WACOSS New Year Sector Breakfast 

The New Year Sector Breakfast is our chance to congratulate and thank you for your tremendous contribution to the WA community in 2016 and to celebrate the start of the new year together.  Save the date Friday, 20 January 2017, 8.00am at Mt Eliza House, Kings Park.  Put the date in your diary and look out for invitations and more information soon!

To better inform our members and the community sector WACOSS has made some changes to improve the look, feel and usability of our eNews.  Find out how these changes affect you!  

WACOSS Launches Reconciliation Action Plan 

On the 25th of November WACOSS launched its Reconciliation Action Plan!  WACOSS is committed to Reconciliation and would like to thank all of our supporters for helping to bring our RAP to fruition.   

Partnership Forum Co-Design Principles Workshop 

WACOSS is jointly convening a workshop to agree on the definition, values and principles of co-design within the scope of WA’s partnership reforms and we want to ensure WACOSS Members get the opportunity to be involved.    

Associations Information Statements 

Under the new Associations Incorporation Act 2015, incorporated associations are now required to submit an Information Statement to the Commissioner for Consumer Protection every year.  Lodge your statement using your Association's account at AssociationOnline

WACOSS Training & Events

Self Directed Services - Empowering Communities and Transforming Lives

Join us for a week of events hosted by WACOSS with In Control Scotland on Self-Directed Services. The week will be launched by a conference style workshop exploring the fundamentals of Self-Directed Support and will be followed by three practitioner workshops discussing different sector areas: Children in Care; People with a Disability; and People with Complex Needs.

2017 Diploma of Leadership and Management

Developing a Reconciliation Action Plan – 8 Dec 2016 

This half day training will introduce you to the RAP program championed by Reconciliation Australia, give you examples of inspiring corporate and community RAPs and provide suggestions for making a RAP for your organisation.   
 

DropIN 101 - 15 Dec 2016  

Learn the basics of DropIN – a one stop shop for NFPs, Government and Industry to access resources, build projects and drive innovation. Find out how you can use DropIN to manage your cross-sector projects and networks activities effectively.  
 

Customised Training and Support 

WACOSS offers all its courses in-house. We can also develop new courses to meet your requirements. Until the end of the year, WACOSS is offering a 20% discount off full-day and 10% discount off half-day customised training if scheduled before 31 January 2017.

Meth Helpline Launch! 

On 12 September 2016, the Minister for Mental Health, the Hon Andrea Mitchell MLA launched the Meth Helpline.  Part of the State methamphetamine strategy to increase access to support and help reduce the impact of methamphetamine use in WA.
