Overview
The Community Leadership Development Program, a partnership between WACOSS and MODAL provides an excellent opportunity for people working in the Community Services sector to enhance their leadership skills.
Since 1995, the Diploma of Management has become a benchmark for management and team leaders in the business sector. In the Community Development and Leadership program we have taken a Diploma of Management from the Business Services training package to offer to managers, team leaders and coordinators of human service organisations.
There are 8 units to be delivered in one day training sessions during a 12 month period (Note first training session includes an additional introductory day).

The Next Program
Program 10 commenced October 2011.

About MODAL
MODAL is a Learning and Development Consultancy, and in conjunction with WACOSS provides a customised Diploma in Management course designed for people working in community organisations.
MODAL's purpose is to create value in Australasian businesses by improving the performance of people, teams and organisations. MODAL began business in Perth in February 1993 and has grown to incorporate a team of 30 dedicated people.
The Partnership
Since commencing the partnership in 2003 over 100 people from the community sector have had the opportunity to participate in the program with many graduating with a Diploma of Management.
The partnership between WACOSS and MODAL addresses the unique concerns of sector managers because it provides them with appropriate and accredited training in areas that would assist them, their staff and the community. The skills and abilities of not-for-profit managers has become a critical link in ensuring the community continues to receive maximum value and benefit.
