| Kylie Hansen - Program Manager Kylie has previously worked in corporate, local government and in
not for profit sectors, particularly youth, community development and
international development. She has managed many programs and projects
and holds a tertiary qualification in project management. Most recently
Kylie worked as a director of a social enterprise in Cambodia.
Kylie is interested in how business, community and government intersect
and collaborate to create the best possible outcomes for community
issues. She is passionate about community empowerment and is always
thinking of the most effective ways to go about this.
Kylie is also a keen animal rights advocate, vegetarian and an owner of two ridge backs! | | Maree Jones - Training and Development Officer Maree has a formal qualification in the field of psychology, however, she has
always had a strong calling to work for the benefit of the
disadvantaged, which has led her to a career in the not-for-profit
sector. Before WACOSS, Maree worked 14 years in the disability and
employment training field, primarily working with large corporations to
educate them on disability related issues and break down barriers to
recruiting people with diabilities.
Maree has a keen interest in training and development, and she likes to
help people gain confidence in their own skills and competencies, and
utilise them effectively. She believes every person should have an equal
opportunity and get a ‘fair go.’
In her free time, Maree is a passionate football fan and a keen West
Coast Eagles supporter. She also adores her two dogs and spoils them
with treats and cuddles. |
| Ca rrie Standing - Marketing and Communications Officer Carrie has a broad experience across sectors as she has worked in corporate, government and now moved to the not-for-profit community sector. For the last 9 ½ years Carrie worked in the Government and in the last four years she specialised in Government Procurement, an experience which provides her with great insight in her current role with WACOSS. Carrie has a passion in youth affairs as she believes it is an area that provides the backbone of the society and needs increasing attention. Her dream is one day to make a difference in this area of work.
In free time, Carrie is hands on woman who likes to keep things in order and have a place for everything. She is currently renovating her house, which is a never ending project! | | Maija Ala-Kauhaluoma - Project Support Officer Maija is a recent university graduate and has stepped into her first workplace at WACOSS. Previously, Maija has been involved in the not-for profit sector, including her most recent experience of working in a microfinance project in Kenya. She is also a keen supporter and volunteer for Oxfam.
Maija is passionate about international development- and human rights issues. She is especially interested in women’s rights and education as ways of making sustainable change.
When not at work, Maija enjoys going out to restaurants and playing golf. She is desperately trying to get her swing right for the family tournament in July! |
