Assisting you on funding reform

February 10, 2012

To help with the transition to the Delivering Community Services in Partnership Policy, a project has been created by WACOSS in collaboration with the Peaks Forum, and working alongside the Department of Finance.

The Funding Reform Program will make available from a range of practical tools, resources, expertise and workshops to the community sector from 13 February.  The team members here to help you are:

  • Program Manager – Kylie Hansen
  • Training and Development Officer – Maree Jones
  • Marketing and Communications Officer – Carrie Standing
  • Program Support Officer – Maija Ala-Kauhaluoma
The team is providing online support and a regional roll out of workshops and training. You will be able to access this information on the WACOSS website from 13 February.

We recognise our unique and diverse service needs, and will also be incorporating one-on-one support for small and medium organisations including those in regional and remote areas into what we offer.

This support all aims to:

  • Ensure you are able to respond to the new DCSP Policy requirements;
  • Develop your skills in responding effectively to tender requests;
  • Provide a range of tools in internal management and service sustainability; and
  • Assist your organisations in delivering outcome focused service agreements.
If you are currently in the process of completing a tender application, or your contracts are up for renewal soon, we would especially like to hear from you and provide you with some one on one support.
We are also always happy to receive ideas and input from community service organisations, so if you wish to find out more, or discuss some of your experiences with the new reforms please email Kylie (hyper link email – kyliehansen@wacoss.org) or phone the team on 9420 7222.
