The WACOSS Pre-Budget Submission (PBS) outlines the key priority recommendations for how the Western Australian Government should allocate funding in State Budget to meet the immediate and pressing needs of the Western Australian community. The Pre-Budget Submission focuses on the investment needed to sustain current services and the new or expanded service needs for the community, in service areas which are delivered by the not-for-profit sector.
The submission provides recommendations across the full spectrum of social services and is built on broad consultation with and the extensive experience of the not-for-profit community services sector. It provides recommendations on those areas where the outcomes have a significant impact on the most vulnerable and disadvantaged individuals, families and children, particularly those living on low-incomes.
In recent years the Pre-Budget Submissions has been accompanied by an Issues Paper or Consultation Report which discusses the recommendations contained in the PBS in more detail.
