JOIN IN - EMERGENCY RELIEF FORUM


The Emergency Relief Forum is held on the first Wednesday of each month from 9.30 am to 11.30 pm at Lotteries House in West Perth. If you are a manager, staff member or volunteer working for an emergency relief service provider you will probably find the ER Forum very helpful. Agencies share information in regard to their services and discuss developments within the emergency relief sector. You don’t have to RSVP, just turn up on the day.

The Forum is also a great opportunity to network with others working in the area of ER. There are interesting guest speakers each week and a good line up for this year. The December Forum looked at planning for 2010 and the group came up with many suggestions for speakers and presentations. On the 3rd February we have two guests from the Department of Housing who will be discussing issues around affordable housing and tenancy issues.

Minutes of the Forum can be found on the WACOSS website. If you are not on the WACOSS emergency relief emailing list, contact Bernie Fisher at bernie@wacoss.org.au. You will then receive the agenda prior to each Forum, as well as the minutes and other related ER information.

If you are a regional emergency relief provider and are visiting Perth on the first Wednesday you are very welcome to attend.
