Western Australian Peak Bodies

Community Housing Coalition of WA 
The peak body representing and servicing organisations that deliver non-government community housing in WA. 

Community Legal Centres Association (WA) Inc.
The peak organisation representing to 29 Community Legal Centres (CLCs) operating in Western Australia. It is committed to the principles of human rights, social justice and equity, including the rights of Western Australians to equity in access to legal services.

Developmental Disability Council of WA
Provides a co-ordinated and united voice of service providers, other organisations and individuals advocating for the rights of people with developmental disabilities and their carers in Western Australia. 

Genetic Support Council WA 
The Genetic Support Council WA (GSCWA) is a not for profit organisation that acts as a peak body for genetic support groups in Western Australia. 

Health Consumers Council WA 
An independent community based organisation, representing the consumers' 'voice' in health policy, planning, research and service delivery. The Council advocates on behalf of consumers to government, doctors, other health professionals, hospitals and the wider health system. 

Linkwest
Linkwest is the state association for Community, Neighbourhood and Learning Centres in Western Australia. It provides resources, information, training and support to its member Centres and to groups establishing as a Centre. 

National Council of Women of WA
The National Council of Women of Western Australia has supported a wide range of social reform activities, particularly those related to education and to women’s, children’s and family welfare. 

People with Disabilities WA 
PWD(WA) is the peak disability consumer lobby group in Western Australia representing people with disabilities –
physical, intellectual, psychiatric and sensory. PWD(WA) provides a range of services from its office. Services include
advocacy, information and referrals, community education and lobbying.

Shelter WA
An independent community based peak body committed to the principle of accessible, affordable, appropriate and secure housing for every person. Shelter WA focuses on people who have low incomes or who are otherwise disadvantaged in the housing market. This includes people who are homeless or who are at risk of homelessness. 

Volunteering Western Australia 
As the peak body, VWA promotes the concept of volunteering and provides a range of resources, services and support within a comprehensive framework for cost-effective use in Western Australia. 

Western Australian Association for Mental Health 
WAAMH is the peak mental health representative body in Western Australia for non-government not-for-profit agencies that operate for the benefit of people affected by mental illness. WAAMH supports and encourages the development of the non-government not-for-profit mental health sector for the benefit of people affected by mental illness. 

WA Network of Alcohol and Other Drug Agencies    
The peak body for the alcohol and other drug (AOD) education, prevention, treatment and support sector in Western Australia. 

ConnectGroups (formerly WISH)  
Provides support and assistance for individuals and self help support groups with start-up, ongoing development, advocacy and networking. 

Women's Council for Domestic and Family Violence Services 
The WCDFVS is a state-wide peak organisation committed to improving the status of women and children in society. The role is to provide a voice on domestic and family violence issues that facilitates and promotes policy, legislative and programmatic responses relevant to women and children who have experienced domestic and family violence. 

Youth Affairs Council of Western Australia 
YACWA is the peak, non-government youth organisation in WA. It represents the Western Australian non-government youth sector at State and Federal levels.

Anglicare WA  
Anglicare WA is a Community Service organisation advocating for social justice and providing opportunities for people and communities to change their lives. 

Centrecare Inc
Centrecare is one of Western Australia's most well established, professional and innovative providers of specialist social services. With a not-for-profit status, the purpose of Centrecare is to provide excellent, respectful and caring services which encourage all persons to develop to their full potential. 

Communicare
Communicare is a multifaceted charity and support agency based in Cannington. For more than 25 years, Communicare has offered Family, Children’s and Employment services to the people of Western Australia with the aim of developing a closer, caring community. 

Melville Cares 
Melville Cares provides a range of services to address the needs of frail aged and people with disabilities within the community. 

Mercy Community Services 
Provides a diverse range of health and community services to the sick, frail and most vulnerable in the community. 

People Who Care 
People Who Care is a volunteer-based, non-profit and non-denominational charity helping the frail aged and people with disabilities to continue living independently for as long as possible. 

Southcare Inc   
Southcare is a charitable Organisation based in Manning, Western Australia. The Organisation has been providing caring services to residents of the City of South Perth for over 25 years and recently, residents of the Town of Victoria Park. Our friendly staff and team of 140 volunteers, work hard to ensure that the various Aged Care and Family Support programs benefit the members of the local community. 

St John of God Outreach Services
Social Outreach and Advocacy Services reach out to people experiencing disadvantage to improve health and wellbeing.  

St Patrick's Community Support Centre 
Ensure adequate opportunity for those who visit the centre to satisfy their need of food, shelter, care, support and spiritual well-being.

Children, Young People and Family

Adoption Jigsaw WA 
Provides search, mediation and counselling services to anyone involved in adoption and/or separated from family through fostering, stepfamilies or reproductive technologies. 

Adoption Research and Counselling Service   
ARCS is an independent community agency which provides professional counselling, support and information to anyone dealing with the challenges and opportunities in adoption, pre-adoption, step and blended families, foster families; and families created through Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART). 

Albany Youth Support Association Inc
Young House provides emergency accommodation for young people in crisis. The staff also support young people by negotiating for them with advocacy and referrals. We help with independent living skills and community access to support for the family. 

Canteen WA 

Support organisation for young people (aged 12-24) living with cancer; including cancer patients, their brothers and sisters and young people with parents or primary carers with cancer. 

CLAN WA
Strengthens family life by encouraging healthy relationships, effective parenting, support networks and community participation. 

Council on the Ageing (WA) Inc 
Goals: To build community capacity for increasing self reliance. To influence decision makers and community attitudes.

KEYS - Kwinana Early Years Services 
KEYS is a free family support service available to families in Kwinana with at least one child in the birth to eight years age range.

Learning and Attentional Disorders Society of WA Inc 

Life Without Barriers 
Life Without Barriers is a national not-for-profit organisation working to support children and young people in crisis, people with a disability and those with a mental health issue.

Ngala 

Assists parents with young children who need support and advice to confidently manage the challenges of early parenting. All families with children from babies to school age are welcome at Ngala Family Resource Centre. 

Northcliffe Family Centre 
The Northcliffe Family Centre offers a variety of programs for fun, friendship support and learning. 

Parents Without Partners WA 
Provides support, and social outlets for adults and children who are experiencing the changes associated with becoming part of a single parent family. 

Playgroup WA 
Playgroup WA has been supporting, servicing and establishing playgroups throughout Western Australia since 1972. They provide support for families with young children to have fun and learn together through play. 

Relationships Australia (Western Australia) 
Relationships Australia is an organisation that offers resources to couples, individuals and families to help enhance and support relationships. 

Starick Services Inc 
The service provides court support and advocacy for victims of domestic and family voilence. We also provide sensitive informed counselling for children, young people and women that have or still are experiencing domestic and family violence. 

The Churches Commission on Education (Youthcare) 
Youthcare represents a wide diversity of Christian Churches in the context of Government School Education. They seek to provide a sensitive Christian presence and voice in Western Australian Schools. 

The Regional Education & Careers In Highways Foundation 
The Regional Education and Careers in Highways (REACH) Foundation Ltd was establised in November 2006 to provide training and development opportunities for young people in regional communities across Western Australia.

GROW WA 
Weekly meetings of small groups of people who have experienced depression, anxiety or other mental or emotional distress, who come together to help each other deal with the challenges of life. 

Haemophilia Foundation of WA
Provides information and support to people with a bleeding disorder and their families. 

HepatitisWA
Seeks to reduce the prejudice and stigma directed against those with viral hepatitis (predominantly hepatitis C), assist those with the disease to obtain the best possible care and support, and raise awareness of the nature of the disease. 

Holyoake
Holyoake, the Australian Institute on Alcohol and Drug Addiction is a non profit, community based organisation. Holyoake has a unique focus offering help to all family members, regardless of whether or not the person with the alcohol or other drug problem seeks help. 

Mental Health Carers Arafmi (WA) Inc
ARAFMI (WA) Inc. began as the Association of Relatives and Friends of the Mentally Ill, and is now known as Arafmi Mental Health Carers & Friends Association (WA) Incorporated.In 2006 we celebrated our Pearl (30th) Anniversary of supporting families and friends of people with a mental health issue and 19 years of incorporation as a charity.

The Richmond Fellowship Western Australia

Sussex Street Community Law Service Inc. is a free and readily accessible legal service to low income and disadvantaged people in the community.
