Western Australian Peak Bodies

Community Housing Coalition of WA 
The peak body representing and servicing organisations that deliver non-government community housing in WA. 

Community Legal Centres Association (WA) Inc.
The peak organisation representing to 29 Community Legal Centres (CLCs) operating in Western Australia. It is committed to the principles of human rights, social justice and equity, including the rights of Western Australians to equity in access to legal services.

Developmental Disability Council of WA
Provides a co-ordinated and united voice of service providers, other organisations and individuals advocating for the rights of people with developmental disabilities and their carers in Western Australia. 

Genetic Support Council WA 
The Genetic Support Council WA (GSCWA) is a not for profit organisation that acts as a peak body for genetic support groups in Western Australia. 

Health Consumers Council WA 
An independent community based organisation, representing the consumers' 'voice' in health policy, planning, research and service delivery. The Council advocates on behalf of consumers to government, doctors, other health professionals, hospitals and the wider health system. 

Linkwest
Linkwest is the state association for Community, Neighbourhood and Learning Centres in Western Australia. It provides resources, information, training and support to its member Centres and to groups establishing as a Centre. 

National Council of Women of WA
The National Council of Women of Western Australia has supported a wide range of social reform activities, particularly those related to education and to women’s, children’s and family welfare. 

People with Disabilities WA 
PWD(WA) is the peak disability consumer lobby group in Western Australia representing people with disabilities –
physical, intellectual, psychiatric and sensory. PWD(WA) provides a range of services from its office. Services include
advocacy, information and referrals, community education and lobbying.

Shelter WA
An independent community based peak body committed to the principle of accessible, affordable, appropriate and secure housing for every person. Shelter WA focuses on people who have low incomes or who are otherwise disadvantaged in the housing market. This includes people who are homeless or who are at risk of homelessness. 

Volunteering Western Australia 
As the peak body, VWA promotes the concept of volunteering and provides a range of resources, services and support within a comprehensive framework for cost-effective use in Western Australia. 

Western Australian Association for Mental Health 
WAAMH is the peak mental health representative body in Western Australia for non-government not-for-profit agencies that operate for the benefit of people affected by mental illness. WAAMH supports and encourages the development of the non-government not-for-profit mental health sector for the benefit of people affected by mental illness. 

WA Network of Alcohol and Other Drug Agencies    
The peak body for the alcohol and other drug (AOD) education, prevention, treatment and support sector in Western Australia. 

ConnectGroups (formerly WISH)  
Provides support and assistance for individuals and self help support groups with start-up, ongoing development, advocacy and networking. 

Women's Council for Domestic and Family Violence Services 
The WCDFVS is a state-wide peak organisation committed to improving the status of women and children in society. The role is to provide a voice on domestic and family violence issues that facilitates and promotes policy, legislative and programmatic responses relevant to women and children who have experienced domestic and family violence. 

Youth Affairs Council of Western Australia 
YACWA is the peak, non-government youth organisation in WA. It represents the Western Australian non-government youth sector at State and Federal levels.

Anglicare WA is a Community Service organisation advocating for social justice and providing opportunities for people and communities to change their lives. 

Care Options Inc 
Care Options Incorporated is a non-profit, charitable organisation providing services to people with disabilities, frail aged people and their carers. 

Centrecare Inc
Centrecare is one of Western Australia's most well established, professional and innovative providers of specialist social services. Communicare
Communicare is a multifaceted charity and support agency based in Cannington. For more than 25 years, Communicare has offered Family, Children’s and Employment services to the people of Western Australia with the aim of developing a closer, caring community.

Southcare Inc   
Southcare is a charitable Organisation based in Manning, Western Australia. The Organisation has been providing caring services to residents of the City of South Perth for over 25 years and recently, residents of the Town of Victoria Park. Our friendly staff and team of 140 volunteers, work hard to ensure that the various Aged Care and Family Support programs benefit the members of the local community.

Adoption Jigsaw WA 
Provides search, mediation and counselling services to anyone involved in adoption and/or separated from family through fostering, stepfamilies or reproductive technologies. 

Adoption Research and Counselling Service   
ARCS is an independent community agency which provides professional counselling, support and information to anyone dealing with the challenges and opportunities in adoption, pre-adoption, step and blended families, foster families; and families created through Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART). 

Albany Youth Support Association / Young House 
Young House provides emergency accommodation for young people in crisis. The staff also support young people by negotiating for them with advocacy and referrals. We help with independent living skills and community access to support for the family. 

Australian Breastfeeding Association 
The Australian Breastfeeding Association (ABA) is an organisation of people interested in the promotion and protection of breastfeeding. Amongst these are breastfeeding women and their partners and health professionals such as doctors, lactation consultants and midwives. ABA was founded in Melbourne, Victoria in 1964 (as the Nursing Mothers' Association), with the primary aim of giving mother-to-mother support to breastfeeding women. 
Canteen WA 

Support organisation for young people (aged 12-24) living with cancer; including cancer patients, their brothers and sisters and young people with parents or primary carers with cancer.
