Project Officer (Marketing, Communications and IT)

WACOSS Staff Agreement Level 3.1 at $66,185pa

The Western Australian Council of Social Service Inc (WACOSS) is the peak council of community service organisations in Western Australia. WACOSS is part of a national network comprising ACOSS and the State and Territory Councils of Social Service, which represent the interests of low income and socially disadvantaged people across Australia, and assists and supports the community sector with the delivery of community services.

This Project Officer role within the Sector Services and Development team plays a pivotal role regarding our online mediums (two websites), their support and maintenance, and in the conception, design and delivery of marketing strategies and materials. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who will have some experience in the fields of marketing, design & web design, front-end development, ICT systems and project management in a community services setting. Prior experience in the not-for-profit sector is also a requirement. The ability to work with Photoshop, MailChimp, DreamWeaver, Microsoft Office and Podio at a proficient level is a plus.

The primary duties will revolve around managing three website projects, achieving sales goals and generating sustainable revenue streams for them; creating user engagement campaigns and growing our user base; designing and developing web pages that will be hosted within our websites; supporting WACOSS’ marketing strategies by promoting events and training; designing WACOSS materials such as booklets, flyers and banners; troubleshooting and providing support to our user base; and sourcing and managing a team of volunteers.

Ideally we are looking for a person with the capacity to work under pressure in a fast-paced and changing work environment.
